Abstract
The excavation of the non-megalithic burial chamber Odagsen I near Einbeck (Lower Saxony) in the eighties, the localization of further burial sites by extensive fieldwork and the examination of three causewayed enclosures in the vicinity show the important role of the Einbeck basin in the late Neolithic period. The latest development in the ongoing research is the localization of the Odagsen II burial through a geomagnetical survey.
